Rohingyas will be sent to the Myanmar authorities in Moreh border post in Manipur on Thursday.
Earlier on Wednesday, a plea was moved to the Supreme Court seeking to restrain the Centre from deporting the Rohingyas lodged in a detention centre at Silchar in Assam.
On Wednesday, senior advocate Prashant Bhushan had filed an application in an ongoing case pertaining to deportation of nearly 40,000 Rohingyas.
However, the case was filed by two Rohingya immigrants Mohammad Salimullah and Mohammad Shaqir. Advocate Bhushan had sought urgent hearing over the deportation of seven Rohingyas from Assam. The plea sought a restraint on the Centre’s decision to deport the immigrants from Assam to Myanmar.
