In a decision by the Delhi’s Saket Court in a matter related to Muzaffarpur shelter home rape case, the court has initiated the process to frame charges against all accused under various sections of the POCSO Act.
In the case where minor girls were sexually abused and raped in Muzaffarpur’s shelter home, the Supreme Court had last month transferred the POCSO court to the Saket Court here in Delhi.
The investigating agency had chargesheeted 21 persons, which includes the accused Brajesh Thakur, who is currently in Punjab’s Patiala jail. It was the CBI which had requested the apex court to transfer the case out of Bihar, so that zero influence and harassment of witnesses takes place.
