Muzaffarpur shelter home case: ‘Complete the probe within 3 months,’ directs SC
The Supreme Court on Monday ordered the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to complete the investigation that refers to girls raped and murdered in a shelter home that ran under a non-governmental organization called "Sewa Sankalp Evam Vikas Samiti" at Muzaffarpur in Bihar.
CBI has approached the top court seeking six months time to complete the investigation.

Earlier, the court had directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) nearly a month ago to complete the investigation and file a status report.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in May told the Supreme Court that 11 other girls were allegedly killed by the prime accused Brajesh Thakur and his accomplices.
The agency also told the court that they have recovered "bundle of bones" from a burial ground.
According to PTI, pointing out of one of the accused, the agency said that a particular spot in a burial ground was excavated from where a bundle of bones was recovered. Due to a report filed by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), it was disclosed that several girls were allegedly raped and sexually abused at an NGO-run shelter home at Muzaffarpur in Bihar.
