Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray has given a controversial statement on Muslims offering prayers outside the house. He said that Muslims should pay prayers not on the road but at their home. Thackeray also said over uses of loudspeakers during Azaan, 'what is the need for a loudspeaker for the Azaan? What do you try to do by doing this? If you want to offer prayers then do it at home. Why do you pay it on the road? '
“I always ask Muslims that why do you need loudspeakers for Azaan? Who do you want to show? If you want to offer namaz, offer it at home. Why do you offer it on roads?,” says Raj Thackeray, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief.
