One surprising case has come in the light of Rajasthan Police in which a Muslim man married a Hindu woman after claiming himself a Hindu, and after getting a huge dowry both are missing. Police have started searching for the accused Imran Bhati who introduced himself as Kabeer Sharma to the family of a bride and took a huge dowry.
The case has been registered in Sikar against Imran Bahi, who was already married and a father of three children. "Bhati introduced himself as an unmarried Brahmin to my daughter, proposed to her and then married her in the presence of his fake parents and fake relatives who too introduced themselves as Brahmins," the bride's father told the police.
The marriage took place in 13th May in Jaipur, earlier an engagement ceremony was also held where many 'fake relatives' came to sport Imran Bhati. "They even revealed their 'gotra'. When I was fully satisfied, I fixed their marriage on May 13," said the bride's father.
After a few days of the wedding, Imran Bhati claiming to be Hindu Kabeer Sharma sent the bride to her home asking for the additional dowry of 5 lakhs. The father said, "Somehow I borrowed Rs 2.5 lakh from a friend. And then my daughter went missing on May 17. Even the gold kept in our house is missing,"
When the father went to Jaipur to find reality with the wedding pictures, he was shocked and stunned. He got to know that the man with whom he married his daughter was not Kabeer Sharma but Imran Bhati who was already a married man and he used to work with a motor company. The police who have heard the story is also shocked to know the truth.
Superintendent of Police Amandeep Singh Kapoor said that they have formed a special team to trace the missing man and woman. The Police officials said that the whole incident was masterminded very smartly and even the videographers and photographers were chosen by the accused 'Groom'.
