A shocking incident has been reported from Mumbai where a 31-year-old man committed suicide at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. He jumped from the sixth floor of the building on early Saturday. A note has been recovered from his bag.
The man was identified as Akshay Saraswat who hails from Ghaziabad, UP jumped from the 6th-floor airport building around 6:45 am on Saturday. According to his family, Akshay was mentally disturbed from the past two years and fled from the home two days ago. On Friday he contacted his parents and informed them that he’s at an international airport after which his family came to meet him.
As per Times Now report, Inspector Raghunath Kadam confirmed that a suicide note has been recovered from Akshay’s bag. In the note, he cleared that no one is responsible for his death. Meanwhile, police have registered a case of accidental death while the probe is underway.
A similar incident occurred in 2014 at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad where a passenger tried to commit suicide inside a plane parking. The man was identified as Mohd. Imtiyaz who tried to slit his throat with a blade in the washroom of a flight which arrived from Dubai. As soon as he was recovered he was taken to hospital where he was treated and was saved.
