Mumbai: Shame! Cop abuses colleague’s daughter, flashes private part on police quarters balcony

In a shocking incident, a police constable allegedly abused colleagues daughter and flashed his private part. According to reports, the policeman Harishchandra Lahane reportedly went to the building’s balcony where the complainant along with her relative was in the balcony talking to each other. He abused them and removed his pant and flashed his private part.

He didn’t stop here, he then went back and returned naked. The 23-year-old woman went inside her room and complained to her family members. Following which the 41-year-old cop was arrested by Mumbai police. The incident took place in Kurla’s Nehru Nagar.

The accuse Harishchandra Lahane has been living in Nehru Nagar for the last ten years said police. "On May 10, he went to the common balcony of his building where women were also sitting. He abused them, went back and returned naked," said Vilash Shinde, a senior police inspector.

As per reports, he has now been granted bail and an inter-departmental inquiry will be initiated against him.

The Mumbai police have registered a case under 354 (A) (making sexually coloured remarks, shall be guilty of the offence of sexual harassment) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The incident comes days after a man reportedly flashed his private part to a 23-year-old woman inside State Bank of India ATM at Navghar locality in Mulund at 3 pm when the woman went to withdraw cash.
