A former Army officer’s son was allegedly attacked by three persons in Mumbai’s pub, police said Monday.
As per the reports of PTI, the 22-year-old son Gurnihal Singh, the son of Shaurya Chakra awardee, Captian (retd) Bikramjit Singh was beaten brutally in the pub located in the western suburb of Bandra. The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday.
Singh along with his friend Saksham Jatia was attacked after a following an argument when the duo took to the dance floor, then, the group had attacked the two at the pub.
The scuffle started when one the men in the group hit the friend of Gurnihal, the official said.
When Gurnihal Singh and his friends tried to intervene then, the group members attacked the duo.
As per the official, one of the attackers broke a liquor bottle and blow it on Gurnihal’s throat, which led to serious injuries to him.
However, Gurnihal was rushed to a hospital, where he is stable now.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered at the Bandra police station. Three of the alleged attackers were arrested separately on Sunday and Monday and charged with attempt to murder, among other offences under IPC, officials told to PTI.
The probe is underway to know whether more persons were involved in the attack.
