A level 4 fire has broken out at MTNL building at S V Road in suburban Bandra on Monday. Nearly 100 people are feared trapped on the terrace of a Mumbai telephone exchange building.
According to the reports, the incident took place around 3 pm. It is a nine-storey building whereas the fire has surfaced till the third and fourth floors only.
Incidentally, MTNL building is located near a fire brigade centre in suburban Bandra. As soon as the fire broke out 14 fire brigades and other types of equipment including a robot van and an ambulance were rushed to the spot for the rescue operation.
The officials said that the rescue operations are in progress and efforts to rescue people stuck on the upper floors and terrace of the building is on.

There are no reports yet of anyone being injured in the incident.
