The Congress President Rahul Gandhi is in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar, where while speaking to the public, he launched 'potato chips' jibe at Modi-led BJP government in Centre. Attacking BJP he said the government is frauding with farmers by selling potato chips in the high rate while potatoes rates are cheap in the market.
“Aap chips ka packet uthaiye. Aloo ka kya daam hai aj kal? 5 rupay. Chips ka packet kitne ka bikta hai? Usmein kitne aloo hota hai? Aadha aloo hota hai. Uss chips ke packet mein se kisan ko kitna rupaya milta hai? 50 paise, usse bhi kam,” said Rahul Gandhi in Dhar.

Congress chief said, the private companies buy the potatoes in cheap rates and sells its chips on high rates in the market. Where in between farmers suffers.
Rahul Gandhi is in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh, among other five states that will soon hold assembly elections. He offered prayers at the Mahakaleshwar temple. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra launched a scathing attack on Rahul and asked him about his 'gotra'.
