MP: Man returned from Dubai organized mega fest for 1,500 people, tests positive for COVID-19

Another shocking piece of news has come to light from Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district on Friday, where a Dubai-returned man hosted a function for over 1,500 people after his mother’s death, is now tested positive for coronavirus along with his at least 11 members of his family.

According to the reports, they all have contracted the virus days after organizing the feast for over 1,500 people after the death of the man's mother.


When the news came to light, the local authorities respond immediately and sealed the entire colony where the function took place in a bid to prevent further outbreak of the deadly virus.

The man has been identified as Suresh and he returned from Dubai to India on March 17. He organized the mega feast on March 20. As per the reports, over 1500 people attended the function held in Morena.

However, Suresh was having the symptoms of COVID-19 on March 25 but he did not visit a hospital for the following four days. He went hospital on March 29 and then, a doctor advised him and his wife to be quarantined.

On April 2, both Suresh and his wife tested positive for the novel coronavirus. On being suspicions, doctors also tested 23 of his close relatives and found 10 of them positive too.
Morena's Chief Medical Officer Dr. RC Bandil said, "We sent 23 samples of the contacts of the two positive patients and received the reports on Friday. Out of them, 10, including eight women, have tested positive for the virus,” claimed timesnownews.com.

"All 12 patients have now been quarantined at the hospital, while those who tested negative have been put under 14 days isolation at their houses in different parts of Morena district," added Bandil.

In Madhya Pradesh, 104 positive cases for COVID-19 come to light, including six deaths.

Meanwhile in India, over 3000 confirmed cases of coronavirus recorded and 68 deaths have been reported so far.
