MP Assembly Elections 2018: Polling for 230 constituencies seats begins; see latest visuals

Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections voting has been already begun for the three Assembly segments in Naxal-affected Balaghat district- Lanji, Baihar and Paraswada. The voting for these three constituencies seats will be held between 7 am to 3 pm.

Meanwhile, the voting for 227 constituencies in the state will begin at 8 am.


 

However, the polling in the state has begun under the tight security. As there will also be a tough battle between 2,899 candidates and their fate will be decided by the 5 crore voters of the state.

Polling for the 227 constituencies will begin at 8 am and will continue till 5 pm.

However, the main battle in MP is between the country’s two largest party i.e BJP which has fielded its candidates in all 230 seats while Congress is contesting on 229 seats. The remaining one seat is for Sharad Yadav led Loktantrik Janata Dal (LJD) at Jatara in Tikamgarh district.

Moreover, other parties like BSP, SP is also in the fray.
As BSP has fielded its 227 candidates and SP is contesting in MP for 51 seats. There are 1,102 independent candidates.

This year, the fate of these parties will be decided by over five crore registered voters in MP. Out of the total, there were 2,63,01,300 men, 2,41,30,390 women while 1,389 people belong to the third gender.
