MP: 23-year-old girl raped for years by father’s friend on pretext of marriage

A 23-year-old girl claimed that she was being raped multiple times by her father’s friend at a rented flat in Bhopal’s Jehangirabad locality on the pretext of marriage.

As per the police, the victim hails from a village in Berasia and resides at a rented flat in Jehangirabad.

In her complaint, the girl stated that the accused identified as Mukesh Gaur befriended her when she moved to Bhopal for further studies and started residing in a flat. She claimed that the accused had been repeatedly raping her for the past few years on pretext of marriage and when she started pressurising him to marry her, he refused and blocked her phone number.

According to the girl, she came in contact with the accused in 2015, who is her father’s friend and used to visit her home frequently.

Left with no other option, the girl decided to file a complaint against the accused in order to get justice.

Acting on the complaint, the Jehangirabad police station lodged a rape case against the accused and investigation the matter from all angles.
