Mining baron Janardhan Reddy arrested in connection with Ambident Group alleged bribery case in Bengaluru

Mining baron Janardhan Reddy arrested in connection with Ambident Group alleged bribery case by Crime Branch in Bengaluru last evening. The former minister in BS Yeddyurappa's government has spent three years in jail and is currently out on bail.

Bengaluru Central Crime Branch (CCB) has also arrested Ali Khan, a close aid of Jaanardhan Reddy.

The 49-year-old politician, appeared for questioning at the Crime Branch office on Saturday evening after a three-day hunt by the police in Bengaluru.

"We have taken the decision to arrest him on the basis of credible evidence and witnesses statements. We will produce him before the magistrate. We are going to recover the money & give it to the investors," said Alok Kumar, Additional CP, Central Crime Branch.
