Mehsana riot case: Visnagar Court pronounces Hardik Patel guilty in 2015 rioting case; sentenced to 2 years imprisonment

Visnagar Court pronounces Hardik Patel guilty in a case related to vandalising BJP legislator Rushikesh Patel’s office in Visnagar during 2015 Patidar protests. Court pronounces Hardik Patel guilty in vandalising case during Mehsana riots and sentenced to 2 years imprisonment.

Hardik Patel, Lalji Patel and AK Patel have been awarded 2 years imprisonment and a penalty of Rs 50,000 each in a case related to vandalising BJP legislator Rushikesh Patel’s office in Visnagar during 2015 Patidar protests.


 

Hardik Patel was accused of provoking riots during protests. Besides, BJP MLA Srishikesh's office was ransacked. Hardik Patel has also been convicted for this. In this case, 14 people have been acquitted. While 3 people, including Hardik Patel, have been found guilty.

Patidar leader Hardik Patel has been convicted in the case of rioting. In 2015 protest, Hardik had demanded reservation for the Patidars. There was a riot in Mehsana's Zinagaragar during this period.
