BSP supremo Mayawati on Wednesday slammed Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s minimum guarantee Nyay scheme, saying the main opponent ruling BJP calling Congress’ slogan of Garibi Hatao 2.0 as a bluff is true”. Former UP CM Mayawati also targeted both parties in the same breath, calling “both birds of the same feather” when it comes to betraying the poor.
“Ruling BJP calling Congress slogan of Garibi Hatao 2.0 as a bluff is true. But is poll bluff & reneging of poll promises the sole domain of the BJP? In fact, BJP & Congress party are both birds of the same feather in betraying the interests of the poor, labourers, farmers & others,” she wrote Twitter.

In fact BJP & Congress party are both birds of the same feather in betraying the interests of the poor, labourers, farmers & others.
After Rahul Gandhi introduced NYAY (Nyuntam Aay Yojana) scheme, which assures up to Rs. 72,000 a year or Rs. 6,000 a month to 20 per cent of India's poorest families, this was Mayawati’s first reaction on it.
According to Congress under Nyay scheme, 5 crore families and 25 crore people will directly benefit from this scheme. All calculations have been done. There is no such scheme anywhere else in the world.
Attacking Rahul Gandhi’s new scheme, The BJP termed it as a bluff, referring to former Congress prime minister Indira Gandhi's "Garibi Hatao (remove poverty)" slogan and questioned why the party could not end poverty in 70 years.
