Mathura: Ammonia gas leaks in ice cream factory in Farah area, 15 people severely affected

At least 15 people have been severely affected after Ammonia gas leakage in an ice cream factory on Saturday morning in Mathura. People reportedly complained of dizziness and breathing problem at Nagla Chandrabhan in Farah area. People who fell ill after the gas leak were immediately rushed to the district hospital where they are undergoing treatment.

According to the reports, a gas pipeline from the ice cream factory in the area broke down, following which it caused leakage of ammonia gas. Slowly this ammonia gas spread throughout the village. After which people of the village started suffocating and this caused many people's condition to worsen.


Soon the police reached the spot after being informed about the incident. Factory workers also arrived and informed the villagers about the gas leak. Following the incident, immediate action was taken.

An ambulance and fire brigade were called on the spot. The injured were taken to the hospital. At the same time, relief operations are still going on. After this incident, there has been a stir in the village.
