Goa Chief Minister and former Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar is extremly critical.
Parrikar, who was suffering from a pancreatic ailment since February last year, hadn't recovered and had been under continuous treatment. Since the issue was diagnosed, Parrikar went to the US and thereafter to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi.
The CMO Goa had earlier tweeted, “Chief Minister @manoharparrikar's health condition is extremely critical. Doctors are trying their best.”

Last month, while he was in-charge of the state, he was admitted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital, although he was discharged on February 26.
Meanwhile, Parrikar returned to normal business and started signing the files and holding Cabinet meetings at his residence and he accepted in December, that he was battling a “life-threatening disease.”
In his latest appearance on January 30 while presenting the budget of the state in the assembly, his appearance was touted to be frail, with a tube in his nose and condition quite severe.
The Congress government accused BJP of trying to save the coalition government it is running and not letting Manohar Parrikar rest.
The Congress had earlier submitted its letter to the Governor Mridula Sinha staking claim to form the government.
Goa Congress chief Chandrakant Kavlekar has stated that “The present government is as good as absent. We are staking claim with all the numbers. We are still the single largest party. Till last night, their own ministers and MLAs are using adjectives for their CM’s health. His condition is deteriorating. The governor has time to meet the functionaries of BJP. But constitutionally we are asking her for an appointment to stake our claim and it’s the fifth request but she has not given us a single audience.”
