Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 28 addressed the nation through his monthly radio programme - Mann Ki Baat. Drawing citizens’ attention to coming nutrition month, he urged people to join the campaign against fighting malnutrition in the country.

He reminded people that the country celebrates ‘Poshan Maah’ (nutrition month) every year from September 1-September 30.

 "The the month of September is dedicated to festivals as well as a big campaign related to nutrition." "Today, many creative and diverse efforts are being made all over the country to prevent malnutrition," PM Modi said.

 The Prime Minister praised Madhya Pradesh and Assam for coming up with unique ideas to tackle the issue of malnutrition.
