Palghar (Maharashtra): In a shocking incident, a man from Palghar, Maharashtra was arrested on Friday for killing his nephew over suspicions of having an illicit relationship with his wife.

Suspected illicit relationship
According to the police, Vinesh Harishchandra Tandel (40) was enraged with the suspicion that his nephew, Atul Vilas Tandel (23), was having an affair with his wife.

Brutal attack
The incident occurred in the Dahanu area of Palghar, where the accused barged into Atul Vilas Tandel's house while he was sleeping and brutally attacked him with a sharp-edged knife and iron pipe.

Escape
The accused fled the scene after the killing, but the Wangaon police reached the spot immediately, took possession of the body, and sent it for post-mortem.

Arrest 
A case under section 302 of IPC was registered, and the accused was subsequently arrested.
