As the politics over the tussle of CBI has begun and now taken a toll across the states, the BJP and other right-wing groups have demanded for a complete shutdown and a President rule in Bengal.

Union Minister of Steel, Chaudhary Birendar Singh has commented that ‘President rule must be imposed in West Bengal,’ and no other options seems to be viable for working in the state as the “Satyagraha” to save the Constitution by the Mamata Banerjee might not go down well.

Union Minister Smriti Irani has said, “The fact that paramilitary forces had to be deployed for the protection of those officers, who were diligently doing their duty, is for the first time an unprecedented view given to the citizen with regards to the state of anarchy in Bengal.”

Steel Minister has said, “It will be best if states function under the ambit of the Constitution, else they should keep Article 356 (President's rule) in mind.”

TMC leader Saugata Roy has said that “Satyagraha by West Bengal Chief Minister is against the misuse of CBI by the central government. We strongly protest against the CBI and BJP leadership led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah who have damaged the constitutional structure. The Prime Minister should answer in the House.”

BJP MP from West Bengal Babul Supriyo has tweeted condemning the stance by Mamata Banerjee, “Rogue' #TMchhi Govt under a corrupt CM MamtaBanerjee. This is a constitutional crisis 'created' by Mamta to shield her corrupt & tainted accomplices.”
