Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s accusation on West Bengal government of not returning his call, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that she not his servant and called him ‘Expiry PM.’ Addressing a rally in Tamluk on Monday, PM Modi had said that ‘Speedbreaker Didi’ tried to do politics over the Cyclone Fani issue and rejected his calls twice.
Responding to Modi’s accusation Mamata Banerjee said that asking for a meeting was all drama for publicity and sympathy.
“How dare you call for a meeting with the chief secretary and senior officials without the CM. Don’t do this drama in Bengal. Mr Expiry PM, you are not worthy of (being) PM. We don't want your sympathy,” Banerjee said.
"I won't share the dais with you during the elections. I don't consider you as our prime minister. When the next PM comes, I will tell him," the CM added.
"I would have understood if you were coming to Bengal only for cyclone. You came for political meetings. Why should I meet you? Bcause this is Bengal, we still listen to you. If it were any other state, they would have turned you out," the Trinamool Congress chief said.
PM Modi while addressing an election rally in West Bengal’s Tamluk on Monday said that he tried to speak to her but “out of her arrogance, she did not speak to him”.
“Speedbreaker didi has tried to play politics even on Cyclone Fani. I tried to get in touch with Mamata didi but her arrogance is such that she refused to talk to me, I tried again but she did not get in touch,” PM Modi said at a rally.
"I waited, expecting her to call me back. But she did not. Still, I called her again. I was worried about the people of Bengal and wanted to speak to Mamata Didi. But Didi did not speak to me the second time either." Modi said in Hindi tweet.
