Even-though after doing their best to provide an elaborate arrangement of security so that the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) 2017 can be conducted smoothly, the Telangana police have ended themselves in an embarrassing situation.

A local Television channel of Telangana has broadcast the live visuals of Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosting an official dinner for the United States President Advisor Ivanka Trump and others on 28 November. The TV channel had aired the live visuals from the Falaknuma Palace Hotel.

However, the breach of security from Narendra Modi's official dinner became a major issue when national Television channels started to broadcast the live feed.

In the feed that was getting broadcast, PM Narendra Modi, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao and governor of two Telugu states, ESL Narasimhan were seen talking to each other while sitting on a sofa.

In the official dinner held by PM Modi, media was not allowed and when different TV channel started to broadcast the feed from the hotel, the top official of Special Protection Group (SPG) contacted the local police to stop the broadcast.

After inquiry, it was revealed that it was done from the command and control centre at the city police commissioner's office as per reports in the TOI. The report also claims that the Senior police officers of the Telangana police had permitted a few TV channels to enter the control room.
