BJP leader Pankaja Munde loses to her cousin Dhananjay Munde by over 22,000 votes from Parli assembly constituency.
Paknaja had defeated Dhananjay who is from the Nationalist Congress Party(NCP) by a huge margin of 25,000 votes in the 2014 elections from the constituency, a rural area located 470 km from Mumbai.
Dhananjay Munde is the leader of the opposition in state Legislative Council and as per the reports, he was relying on the poor performance of his sister to help in the change that was impending.
Results in Maharashtra exhibits that while the BJP-Shiv Sena is all set to form the government, NCP is leading in 56 assembly seats, while on the other hand Congress is leading in 38 seats.
