At least six people have been killed in an explosion in Maharashtra's Wardha in a Military firing range in the area. The blast took place inside the Pulgain Army explosive depot on Tuesday morning. Over 10 people have been injured in the incident which took place on Tuesday morning.

According to initial reports, the blast took place when explosives were being destroyed at the firing range.
"One of the boxes exploded while unloading the ammunition. The incident took place on open land," Wardha senior police officer Nikhil Pingle said.
The 23 mm shell exploded while it was being unloaded for disposal, a defence official said. Four were killed on the spot, and two died during treatment at a hospital, the police said.
