New Year has come with a big shock for customers as Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have increased the price of LPG cylinders. The OMCs have increased the price of commercial cylinders upto Rs 25. However, there is no price hike for domestic cylinders.

Impact of commercial cylinders price hike on people
The new rates are now active from today onwards. With the price hike, dining out at restaurants, or eating out will be more expensive. The move will also impact online food ordering and delivery platforms such as Swiggy and Zomato.
Price hikes on domestic cylinders in 2022
Talking about the last price hike on domestic cylinders, the OMCs increased the prices in July last year. Domestic cylinder prices were raised by a total of Rs 153.5 last year. Prices were hiked four times in 2022. The first price hike of Rs 50 per domestic cylinder was in March 2022, second and third price hikes of Rs 50 and Rs 3.50 were in May, then the OMCs again hiked the price by Rs 50 in July.
