In the run up to the Lok Sabha polls, actress-turned politician Urmila Matondkar who had joined Congress party on March 27 has been given a ticket from the Mumbai North to contest.
The Congress party had earlier changed its Maharashtra chief and Milind Deora was appointed, after Sanjay Nirupam. The Congress is also all set to include another actor-turned politician and BJP’s dissident leader Shatrughan Sinha, who might contest from the Patna Saheb constituency.
Urmila Matondkar will be contesting the 2019 polls from 26- Mumbai North Parliamentary constituency of Maharashtra.
