In an interesting turn of events, actress-turned politician Jaya Prada has joined the BJP ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, which is scheduled to begin from April 11.
As per media reports, Jaya Prada is likely to contest from the Rampur constituency, which is currently held by Samajwadi Party’s Azam Khan. Jaya was earlier a part of the Telgu Desam Party and Samajwadi Party.
Jaya Prada, while praising PM Narendra Modi, said, "I am a part of national party and I'm in a party, where the leader leads on issues of national security. Whether it is films or politics, I have always worked with everything I have."
