After the DMK announced its poll manifesto, the AIADMK has followed the same path and said that they would urge the Government of India to release all the killers of former PM Rajiv Gandhi.
News agency ANI tweeted, “AIADMK in its election manifesto: AIADMK will urge Government of India and the President to give due direction to the Governor of Tamil Nadu for release of the seven Tamil convicts as ordered by Supreme Court and approved by cabinet of Tamil Nadu government.”

The Dravidian party further promised to insist Centre to urge for an international probe into the alleged genocide and war crimes by SriLankan government against Tamils in SriLanka.
On the Cauvery water dispute with Karnataka, AIADMK said, “water management scheme to divert surplus water in rivers to drought-hit areas; to insist Centre for linking Cauvery-Godavari rivers.”
The DMK chief MK Stlain had earlier announced in Chennai that “The seven prisoners of Rajiv Gandhi assassination case will be released on humanitarian basis.”
