As the Uttar Pradesh has opened up its way for alliances with SP-BSP coming together, the architect of Samajwadi Party Shivpal Yadav has said that these alliances are incomplete to tackle BJP alone.
Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati, in a press conference yesterday in Lucknow, officially announced the tie-up where both the parties will be contesting on 38 seats each and 4 have been left for their other allies.
Shivpal Yadav, who after tension with Akhilesh, separated from the party and formed his own outfit named PSP-L (Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party- Lohia) on whose inauguration, Mulayam Singh Yadav had come in Lucknow.
Now, Shivpal Yadav has stated on the recent alliance that “This alliance is incomplete without PSP-L (his party Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party-Lohia). Only a secular front can defeat the BJP.”

Shivpal Yadav has said that he is open for an aliance with like minded people to keep the BJP at bay in the upcoming polls and can create a vote cutter for the alliance if it doesn’t happens altogether.
Shivpal said, “I am open for an alliance with like-minded parties to keep the communal BJP at bay and that too if my party is offered a respectable number of seats.”
Earlier, Akhilesh Yadav in a joint press conference with Mayawati said, “To defeat the arrogance of BJP, it was necessary for BSP and SP to come together. BJP can go to any extent to create differences in our workers, we must be united and counter any such tactic.”
Uttar Pradesh is considered to be the direct entry to the union ministry if a party/alliance wins it with majority.
