A complaint has been lodged against controversial former JNU student leader Kanhaiya Kumar for allegedly speaking ‘anti-Modi’ remarks at a rally in Bihar.
The case has been filed at the CJM’s court by the BJP’s minorities cell state vice president Titu Badwal in Kishanganj district of Bihar.
In the complaint filed, BJP’s Badwal has alleged that Kanhaiya Kumar had allegedly made “incendiary” remarks at the Anjuman Islamia Hall on Monday. As the case has been registered, it would be heard by the court in the due course of time.
The former president of the JNU Student Union is all set to contest the 2019 Lok Sabha polls in one of the most awaited political debut from Begusarai seat on the ticket of Communist Party of India, and while the complaint has been filed, he was addressing a public rally which was organised by the party.
Kumar, who came to limelight after the infamous JNU incident of February 2016, when he was arrested on the charges of Sedition after a purported video came out wherein ‘anti-India’ slogans were raised inside the campus of JNU, at a programme which was organised to commemorate the death anniversary of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru.
Bihar, which holds 40 seats, would be a deciding factor for the upcoming polls as both the national party’s (BJP & Congress) are up with their own Grand alliance.
