Delhi police personnel staged a massive protest outside the Delhi Police headquarters at ITO against the attack on a police officer by lawyers in court complexes in Delhi. Amid the protest, Delhi cops have booed the Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik, when he was trying to address the personnel and appealing to maintain peace on Tuesday.
Delhi Commissioner addressed protesting cops “ I appeal to all to maintain peace. It's trying time for us. We need to fulfill the responsibility of maintaining and assuring law and order. It is expected from us that we the protectors of law will continue to assure law and order in the capital.”
"In the last few days, there have been certain incidents in the capital which we handled very well. The situation is improving after that," Amulya Patnaik added.

During the protests, Delhi cops reminded Kiran Bedi and raised slogans, “Humara CP (Commissioner of Police) kaisa ho, Kiran Bedi jaisa ho" outside the Police Head Quarters (PHQ) in ITO.
On the other hand, Amulya Patnaik urged the protesters that return to work peacefully and also asked the officer to behave like a ‘disciplined force’.
“We have to behave like a disciplined force. The government and people expect us to uphold the law, it is our big responsibility,” Patnaik said.
Despite several attempts by Amulya Patnaik and other senior officials, cops continued to sloganeering against the Police commissioner during his speech.

Also, cops repeatedly raised the slogan while holding the placard with a picture of Puducherry Lt.Governor Kiran Bedi, who had served as Delhi’s IPS Officer.
Officials kept on saying that “Police commissioner kaisa ho, Kiran Bedi jaisa ho (What should the police commissioner be like? He should be like Kiran Bedi)”
