After a heavy rainfall in Kerala, the situation in the state likely to become normal today after the red alert has been withdrawn from all the 14 districts of the state by the India Meteorological Department. While the eleven districts are on orange alert.
Central and state government have tried their hard to bring the situation under control. Also, Indian Army, Navy and NDRF all have provided their support in the rescue and relief task. Amid this catastrophe, people won’t stop in spreading the fake news about the floods in Kerala.
Recently, a video went viral in which an impostor wearing Army combat uniform spreading disinformation about the rescue and relief work.
However, Additional Directorate General of Public Information, IHQ of MoD (Army) immediately responded on this viral video and tweeted on the micro-blogging site about it and wrote, ‘Imposter wearing Army combat uniform in video spreading disinformation about rescue & relief efforts. However, the IMD has withdrawn the red alert from all the 14 districts which mean there is a sign of relief from the heavy rainfall. Meanwhile, this is the first time since 9th August that Red Alert has been withdrawn from the entire state. There are also the reports from different parts of the state which suggested that the water level is also coming down.
