Kathua rape case: Sanji Ram's son Vishal Jangotra was not in Kathua, claim ATM CCTV footage; here are the major developments

In a major twist and turns has taken place in the Kathua rape and murder case, where an eight-year-old minor girl was abducted and brutally raped and murdered by eight men including one juvenile in the Kathua village. As per the leading channel's investigation, it revealed that the Vishal Jangotra son of the main accused in the Kathua case, Sanji Ram was not in Kathua on the January 15, in fact, he was in Muzaffarnagar on the day.

As per police charge sheet, Vishal was in Kathua dumping the dead body of the minor on January 15. While the CCTV footage accessed by the leading channel claims that Vishal was in the ATM's withdrawal queue in Muzaffarnagar. The visual shows Vishal standing in the queue and withdrawing money among other people.

The footage of Vishal standing in the queue was shared on Twitter by the popular news anchor Sudhir Chaudhary. As per the probe, Vishal is a first-year student of Bsc Agriculture at Meerut University. Earlier, they had claimed that Vishal had attended the University examinations during the time he was accused to be in Kathua. However, the university has now reportedly provided Vishal’s answer sheets and CCTV footage recorded during the exams to the Jammu Police crime branch for verification of authenticity.

In the further investigation it revealed that, when the channel reached Kathua to verify the identification of the Vishal, his mother and sister identifying him asserted that it was his sister's ATM card Vishal used for the transaction, as he did not have an account and showed the passbook entry that has transaction entry showing the same location as Vishal stayed there to study.

As per the charge sheet, Vishal was in Kathua and dumping the body of the minor around 4 pm, while the footage claiming he in Muzaffarnagar on the same day around 3 pm. Well, this twist and turns have raised series of questions on the charge sheet filed by Jammu's crime branch team in the Kathua case.
