Three people were arrested on Saturday in connection with the alleged assault on two Kashmiri students by a mob in Mahendergarh.
"Total six people are accused in incident of assault on two Kashmiri youth in Mahendergarh out of which three people have been arrested and three others identified on the basis of a CCTV footage," Kamaldeep, Superintendent of Police (SP), Mahendergarh told media.
The investigation into the assault is currently underway, police told.
Meanwhile, Mahendragarh District Commissioner Garima Mittal also assured medical help to the victims.
Two Kashmiri students, enrolled in Central University of Haryana, were allegedly beaten up by a mob in Mahendergarh on Friday.
The students were being followed when they left the mosque after offering Namaz.
Earlier in the day, Haryana Police took cognizance of the incident and lodged an FIR after Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti called for an investigation into the incident and strict action against the perpetrators.
