Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is invited by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan for the foundation-opening ceremony of the Kartarpur Sahib corridor in Pakistan has accepted the invitation.
Responding to the invitation of Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to attend the opening ceremony of Kartarpur Corridor corridor, Navjot Singh Sidhu writes "I look forward to meeting you on this historic occasion. My application for permission to attend is now lodged with MEA."

Earlier, Sidhu has confirmed about the invitation and said that ‘I received an invitation from Pakistan PM Imran Khan and the Pakistan High Commission in India has also contacted me to know my itinerary.’
Meanwhile, Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh has declined Pakistan Foreign Minister’s invitation to attend the foundation stone laying for Kartarpur Corridor, citing continued terrorist attacks in his state and killings of Indian soldiers by Pakistan armed forces.
