On the ongoing political crisis in Karnataka, former prime minister HD Deve Gowda said only ‘God’ can save Congress-JDS government. Earlier, senior Congress leader said that BJP’s ‘Operation Lotus’ was real and Congress’s 4 lawmakers were in Mumbai Hotel with BJP’s leaders. Several Congress and JDS leaders are trying to lure its lawmakers through money and power.
HD Deve Gowda on Tuesday said "Only God" can save Karnataka's coalition government, reported India Today TV. Former PM also said he had "full faith" in JD(S) MLAs and that "nobody" in the Congress or the JD(S) "will go".
Deve Gowda is chief of JD(S), which runs the state government in coalition with the Congress in Karnataka. He asked why the BJP didn't have confidence in its own MLAs.
On Tuesday, two independent MLAs withdrew their support to the government led by HD Kumaraswamy. The two independent MLAs are H Nagesh and R Shankar.

Reacting on 2 Independent MLAs withdraw support from Karnataka government, Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy said, “If 2 MLAs withdraw their support, what will be the numbers? I'm totally relaxed. I know my strength. Whatever is going on in media in the past week, I am enjoying.”
Meanwhile, media reports suggest that six to eight Congress MLAs are willing to defect and join the BJP. CM Kumaraswamy had earlier, expressed confidence that he has "sufficient numbers" and the government would survive any threat.
