Jodhpur: With the onset of seasonal diseases, patients are flocking to hospitals in large numbers, leading to a significant increase in OPD (Outpatient Department) numbers. The hospitals are witnessing a surge in patients suffering from fever, cough, stomach ache, vomiting, diarrhea, cold, and body ache.
According to sources, the number of patients visiting the hospital has increased dramatically. On a normal day, around 200-250 patients visit the hospital, but with the outbreak of seasonal diseases, this number has shot up to 350. The hospital has only two doctors on duty, which is causing inconvenience to patients seeking medical attention.
The situation at the hospital is chaotic, with patients queuing up outside the doctor's chamber as soon as the hospital opens. The queue continues till the hospital closes, and some patients even visit the doctors' residences for treatment. The doctors are struggling to cope with the influx of patients, leading to delays and inconvenience.
The situation is grim, and the hospital authorities need to take immediate action to address the shortage of doctors and provide adequate medical facilities to the patients.
