A massive gun battle is underway as terrorists attacked an Indian Army camp in Kupwara's Panzgam in Jammu and Kashmir today. The entire area has been cordoned off and search operations have been launched to smoke out the untoward elements.
According to ANI, three soldiers have been killed in the gun battle. Two terrorists have been gunned down.
Media reports state that terrorists attacked the camp around 4 am and tried to force their way into the army installation in an apparent fidayeen attack.
The location of the under attack-camp is close to the Line of Control (LoC). Also, elements of Special Forces have reached the place of action.
This the second major attack on armed forces in a week, as last Monday as many as 25 CRPF personnel were killed in an encounter with Naxals in Chhattisgarh's Sukma.
