Jammu and Kashmir: Pakistan violates ceasefire in Poonch sector

The Pakistan Army violated the ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch Sector on late 8 October night.

The Indian Army retaliated and the exchange of fire between both the armies continued for about two hours.

Pakistan had violated the ceasefire in Nowshera sector on late 7 October night and continued unprovoked firing for an hour.

The ceasefire violations in the year 2016 were 228 and this year, it reached to 503 (till 5 October).
