Jammu and Kashmir: NIA summons MLA Engineer Rashid terror funding case

The National Investigative Agency (NIA) on 28 September issued summon notice to Independent MLA Engineer Rashid in connection with terror funding case.

Rashid will be questioned by the NIA on 3 October.

The NIA in the recent past has arrested many separatist leaders and businessmen in the regard.

Earlier on 6 September, the investigation agency conducted searches at around 27 locations in Srinagar and Delhi.

Last month, the NIA arrested seven Kashmiri separatists - Altaf Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Peer Saifullah, Mehraj Kalwal, Shahid-ul-Islam, Naeem Khan and Bitta Karate for allegedly funding terror activities in the Kashmir Valley.
