Jammu and Kashmir: Indian soldier who was home on leave abducted, says army

In a shocking news have come to light from Jammu & Kashmir, where an Indian army soldier has been abducted from Pulwama. Reportedly, a soldier was home on leave, he was a resident of Poonch and kidnapped from J&K’s Pulwama., where he had gone to spend his leave. The soldier belongs to 44 Rashtriya Rifles. His posting was in Shopian, where he has been assigned a project for ongoing anti-terror operations.

According to the army officials, an action has been taken place to find him. Earlier, a month ago, an anti-terror cordon and search operations were suspended in Jammu and Kashmir because of the peace initiative which was taken by the Central government on the occasion of Eid.


As per the security officials, after the suspension of operation the crime rate and a huge spurt in terror activity has been increased.

Talking about the last year, a young, unarmed army officer was also got kidnapped by terrorists from a family wedding. Later, his bullet-ridden dead body was found the next day.
The dead body was identified as a Ummer Fayaz, 22-year-old Lieutenant of the Rajputana Rifles. He had joined the Indian army just before the five months of his death.

However, the anti-terror operations are currently underway in J&K’s Pulwama and Bandipora districts today morning. As per the reports, at least two terrorists were gunned down in the incidents.
