Due to the natural beauty and climatic conditions, the Kashmir valley has a huge potential to produce large quantity of flowers.

Proper irrigation, temperature, and electricity increase the quality and price of flower saplings in the high-tech poly houses.

The department of floriculture has been introducing new varieties of seeds and has been organising a number of workshops and seminars for years to make the farmers aware of the new techniques including high-tech poly houses to generate employment for the educated youth of the valley.
