Jagdalpur: In a shocking incident, an IndiGo flight from Jagdalpur to Hyderabad took off without some passengers on board, leaving them stranded at the airport. The incident occurred on Thursday, sparking chaos and protests from the affected passengers.
According to the passengers, they had reached the airport on time, but the airline staff took a long time to issue their boarding passes. By the time they reached the gate, the flight had already taken off, 25 minutes before its scheduled departure time.
Vaishnavi Ghosh, Gunjan Jain, and Kamaksha Thakur, three students who were travelling to Hyderabad, alleged that they had reached the airport on time, but the airline staff's delay in issuing their boarding passes caused them to miss the flight. They claimed that the flight was scheduled to take off at 3:40 pm, but it departed at 3:15 pm.
The passengers were left stranded and frustrated, and they protested at the airport, demanding compensation and adjustment of their tickets for the next day. However, the local management of IndiGo refused to entertain their requests, citing that the passengers had not reached the airport on time.
The incident has raised concerns about the airline's management and its treatment of passengers. The passengers alleged that they had suffered financial losses due to the airline's negligence and demanded that the airline take responsibility for its actions.
The incident has also sparked concerns about the safety and security of passengers, particularly in cases where flights take off without passengers on board. The passengers have demanded that the airline should take necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
The incident has left a sour taste in the mouths of the passengers, and it remains to be seen how the airline will respond to their demands and compensate them for their losses.
