A shocking incident has come to light from south Kashmir where family members of at least five policemen who are working in Jammu and Kashmir Police have been kidnapped by Terrorists. Reportedly, terrorists have kidnapped the family members from different parts i.e. Shopian, Kulgam, Anantnag and Awantipora in the state on Thursday night.
This incident came to light on a day when the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested the second son of the wanted terrorist chief of Hizbul Mujahideen, Syed Salahuddin.
According to the reports, one of the family members who has been abducted by a terrorist is the brother of a deputy superintendent of Police. However, Police didn’t give any official statement on this matter.
However, on Wednesday, security forces had gone on a rampage after the murder of four policemen in Shopian in south Kashmir and also damaged the houses which were belonged to terrorists.
Earlier, a kin of policemen have been abducted from Gandebal district in central Kashmir, later he had been released after being brutally beaten up by militants.
On Thursday, NIA officials have arrested the son of Salahuddin, Shakeel from his residence in Rambagh residence in Srinagar. Reportedly, Shakeel has been working as a senior lab technician in SKIMS Soura.
"Restrictions have been imposed in areas under the jurisdiction of Nowhatta, Khanyar, Rainawari, MR Gunj and Safa Kadal police stations while partial restrictions will remain in force in areas under Kralkhud and Maisuma police stations on Thursday and Friday.
"The restrictions are purely preventive in nature and have been imposed to maintain law and order," the J&K Police said in a statement.
