A shocking incident has taken place in Jammu and Kashmir after an unidentified gunmen shot the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) state secretary Anil Parihar in Kishtwar district on 1st November.
Reportedly, his brother Ajit Parihar was also attacked and succumbed to injuries.
Meanwhile, the reason behind the killing is still unknown. As per the reports of India Today, BJP secretary Ashok Kaul has claimed that two brothers were killed by terrorists.
Police also confirmed the incident and now, doing the investigation to nab the assailants.
BJP state workers had started the protests against the killings in many parts of Kishtwar and Baderwah area of Doda district.
However, a joint team of Army and Special Operations group has launched a search operation in the district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Also, Deputy Commissioner has also ordered to impose the curfew in the district after seeing the situation.
Recently, the Bhartiya Janata Party had won the seats by the majority in the Jammu Municipal Corporation elections in the month of October. Modi-led party could able to win the 43 seats in the 75-member body.
While both the major regional parties of Jammu and Kashmir i.e. National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party (PPP) had boycotted the polls.
