IRCTC Offer: Good news! Now travel in air conditioned coach only at sleeper coach ticket price; here’s how

A good news for Indian Railways passengers that they can travel in air conditioner coach at sleeper ticket. If you are thinking how is this possible then, we are going to tell you how.

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation allows its passengers to upgrade their ticket. IRCTC provides the option of ‘class upgradation’ while booking the ticket via online mode.

During the auto upgradation, the Railways will upgrade the tickets for the waiting passengers. However, if, any passenger has selected the no option during booking the online ticket, then, his/her PNR will not be shown on the upgradation list.

Tickets get upgraded automatically by the Passenger Reservation System when the chart is formed. Under this scheme, the ticket checker has no right to upgrade the ticket of any passenger.

Under this scheme, only waiting list passengers will get the confirm seat. After this, the remaining left seats are booked from the ticket counter only. Also, if there is no waiting list in the train, then, there will be no upgradation of any ticket.

In case, passenger’s ticket gets upgraded, and they want to cancel their ticket then the charge for the cancellation will be deducted as per the original category. However, the upgradation of tickets will be done only one class above such as from sleeper to third AC, third AC class to second AC class and second to first AC.
