The controversy sparked after the clash broke out between Delhi police officers and lawyers at Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court on Saturday. The protest has been made against lawyers' behavior outside the Delhi Police headquarters at ITO on Tuesday. Police officers want to meet the Delhi commissioner with their demands.
The police personnel in uniform were seen wearing black bands on their hands to condemn the attack on their dignity by lawyers.
According to the reports of India Today TV, a police officer told, “We have simply come to meet the commissioner. We want justice. If those in the legal profession won't listen to us, who will?"
An angered IPS officer Aslam Khan also joined the row and said the police officers are ‘punching bags’.
However, police officers have gathered outside the headquarters to meet their superior and put their grievances in front of them.
On the other hand, police officers refused to comment on a viral video showing that a group of lawyers can be seen beating, slapping a lone police officer outside the Saket Court in the capital.
Meanwhile, the micro-blogging site has been flooded with the outrage of police officials and several other IPS officers were raising their voices against the behavior of lawyers.

Shameful incidents like these happen because the Delhi Police has become a subservient militia to political interests.

Arrest the people who did this. Crack down on them.
Learn something from @MumbaiPolice - our cops stand tall & don’t tolerate this sort of nonsense. https://t.co/dEonBvESpu
After Tis Hazari, Karkardooma, it's Saket court today. No fear of the law and tearing apart the order. No argument can justify this behaviour. What's more surprising is the way @DelhiPolice is handling with its hands tied due to lack of a strong leadership at the top. pic.twitter.com/SdnQ4uG9HO
