In a disturbing video Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey is seen insulting and threatening a police officer during a Janata Darbar in Bihar's Buxar. The police officer was being berated for doing his duty. He had lodged a complaint against a BJP worker under some "Gunda Act" (the police officer was not allowed to complete the provision of the act) which didn't go down well with the Minister who seemed determined to insult the police officer when everything was being recorded.
"Do you think he is a goonda...You can be stripped off the uniform," the minister announced in a threatening voice. The voice of the police officer was muzzled and the minister's supporters kept clapping.
Buxar is Ashwini Kumar Choubey's parliamentary constituency.

As per the reports, a party worker had reportedly complained to Ashwini Kumar Choubey that a police officer had lodged a case against him.
The Union Minister decided to call upon the police officer and reprimand him in front of the people who had come there for Janta Darbar.
Later the minister claimed that he had told the police personnel that it was not right to call someone a 'gunda'.
But the minister failed to notice that 'gunda' is in the name of the act and the police officer was just doing his duty.
Such incidents only amount to stopping government officials from doing their rightful duty and brings their morale down. If the minister had any grievances, he could have discussed this with senior police officers.
