A Indian Navy MiG aircraft crashed while performing a routine exercise in Goa on Sunday. As maintained by officials, no casualties have been reported.
The MiG 29k aircraft was performing a routine training exercise off the coast of Goa when it crashed at around 10:30 am on Sunday.
The pilot of the aircraft ejected safely and was rescued.
Issuing a statement on the incident, the Navy stated, "An enquiry to investigate the incident has been ordered."
The crash three months after another MiG 29k crashed in Goa in November last year.
On November 16, an Indian Navy MIG trainer aircraft crashed outside a village in Goa. The aircraft crashed on a rocky terrain on the outskirts of verna, 15 km from Panaji and a major tragedy was prevented as the pilot pointed the aircraft away from populated location.
The November 2019 crashed took place when the left engine flamed out while the right engine of the aircraft caught fire because of bird hit.
